Most data problems are actually leadership problems. Liz Henderson has spent 20+ years in boardrooms watching this play out, and her book is the honest account of what she learned.
October's DAMA Norway Book Club pick is "My View of the Data World: Fresh Perspectives for Driving Strategic Transformation (The Data Leadership Series Book 1)" by Liz Henderson, and we'll be discussing it live with the author in a 30-minute online session.
It's not a technical book. It's for anyone who has watched their organisation invest heavily in data, analytics or AI and still not get the results they expected. Liz argues the problem isn't the technology, it's the questions we ask. We focus so much on the what and the how that we forget the why and the who. The book helps you move past "analytics theatre" and start connecting data to decisions that actually matter.
This is an informal digital meetup, a chance to listen, ask questions, and exchange perspectives with others working in data.
If you're interested in data leadership, strategy or the people side of data, you're very welcome to join.
